Job summary

Naylor Landscape Management is seeking an experienced Certified Lawn Care Technician to keep lawns green, weed-free, and ornamental trees/shrubs healthy. You will apply fertilizers, pesticides, and fungicides to residential and commercial properties in Kalamazoo and surrounding areas.

The role requires a Michigan pesticide license (or ability to earn within 90 days), and a clean driving record with a valid chauffeur license.

Qualifications

• State of Michigan Commercial Pesticide License Turfgrass (3A), Ornamental (3B) and Right-of-Way (6) or ability to earn within 90 days of employment.
• High School diploma or GED
• Ability to work independently.
• Must have clean driving record and chauffeur license or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Customer service experience in any industry
• Drug Free Workplace

Responsibilities

• Apply fertilizer, pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides on residential and commercial lawns.
• Apply fertilizer, pesticides and fungicides to residential and commercial ornamental trees and shrubs.
• Mix all products according to label and follow all OSHA safety standards and related application instructions.
• Diagnose and treat lawn and plant pests and diseases.
• Ensure highest level of quality for all applications.
• Work with clients, vendors and Naylor Landscape Management staff members in a friendly, courteous and professional manner.
