Job summary

O’Neill Vintners & Distillers in California is seeking a Cellar Technician 1 to support winemaking, sanitation, and equipment care across our Paso Robles & surrounding facilities.

The role is seasonal from August 3, 2026 to November 15, 2026, requiring the ability to operate forklift, follow safety rules, and assist with fermentation and tank management.

Candidates should be proactive, detail-oriented, and prepared for long shifts during peak periods; experience in wine production is preferred.

Qualifications

• Read and understand work orders to execute tasks accurately.
• Able to gauge tank levels and measurements for processing.
• Adhere to all safety rules and maintain clean work area.
• Operate forklift to move wine, barrels and materials as required.
• Demonstrate attention to detail in winemaking procedures.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand work orders.
• Gauge tanks accurately for fermentation and aging.
• Follow safety and work rules; maintain neat appearance.
• Assist unloading of trucks at the crop reception.
• Make crush additions at the crop reception and monitor fermenters.
• Repair and sanitize equipment and work areas.
• Operate forklift and load bulk trucks as needed.
• Mix and sample wine tanks; manage barrel additions and topping.
