Job summary

Formaggio Kitchen is seeking a full-time seasonal prep cook for our busy 2026 Holiday Season, based in Cambridge, MA. The role covers all aspects of catering operations and kitchen production, from platters to prepared foods, with a focus on quality and teamwork.

Responsibilities include plating to specs, creating breakfast items and salads, timely order dispatch with the delivery person, and managing inventory for the freezer and cold case. DOE earning $19–$22 per hour; ServSafe is a plus.

Job description

Our catering team produces beautifully arranged platters and food made from our internationally sourced specialty ingredients as well as locally sourced produce and meats. From bountiful cheese platters to hors d’oeuvres to baked lasagna to desserts, we aim to provide our customers with an exceptional culinary experience. We need a full-time seasonal prep cook to complete our team for our busy 2026 Holiday Season!

This position will be responsible for working in all aspects of our catering operations and kitchen production including:

• Preparing catering platters to specifications


• Creating an assortment of breakfast items, fresh salads, sandwiches and soups for our prepared foods case


• Ensuring all orders are completely and fully sent out in a timely manner with our delivery person


• Inventory and re-stock of prepared foods for freezer and cold case

The most important requirements for success in this role are:

• Demonstrated culinary skills with a preferred minimum of 1 year experience in the field


• Ability to work quickly, cleanly, and with limited direction


• Capacity to work with a variety of personalities and strengthen the sense of camaraderie and teamwork


• Creativity and a passion for food


• ServSafe certification is a plus

COMPENSATION

This position is hourly, varies DOE, $19-$22/hour
