Job summary

Crate and Barrel in Oak Brook, IL is hiring Seasonal Cashiers to create a welcoming shopping experience. You’ll help customers with purchases, process orders at the POS, and promote promotions and loyalty programs.

This part-time role requires good communication, customer service experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Weekend work after Thanksgiving and surrounding Christmas is expected, with two or more weekend days and at least one weekday.

Responsibilities

• Process customers' orders quickly and accurately at the POS
• Meet CBH Credit Card and email capture metrics as assigned by leaders
• Respond to customer questions professionally
• Process payments as trained
• Promote applicable promotions, offers, loyalty programs and initiatives
• Wrap and bag orders, keep the cash wrap neat and stocked
• Support store leadership in profitability and operations
• Ensure products and displays are stocked and accessible
• Maintain visual merchandising standards to engage customers

A day in the life as a Seasonal Cashier…

• Drive sales through quickly, efficiently, and accurately processing customers' orders through the POS (point of sale) system.
• Responsible for meeting CBH Credit Card (CBHCC) and email capture metrics as assigned by leaders.
• Respond to customer questions in a professional and respectful manner.
• Process payments as outlined in the POS training.
• Communicate and have awareness of applicable promotions, offers, loyalty programs, and other initiatives to customers.
• Wrap and/or bag customers' orders with care; maintain a neat and safe cash wrap. Ensure cash wraps are fully stocked with supplies.
• Lead by example and support store leadership in holding self and others accountable for store profitability and operational excellence.
• Assist with ensuring products and displays on the sales floor are stocked appropriately and available for customers to purchase.
• Execute and maintain the visual merchandising standards of the sales floor to engage customers and associates with the product, as needed.
