Job summary

Crate and Barrel is seeking friendly Seasonal Cashiers to help deliver a welcoming in-store experience. You’ll process purchases at the POS, assist customers with questions, and promote promotions and loyalty programs.

As a brand ambassador, you’ll keep the cash wrap tidy, stock displays, and support leadership in achieving store profitability and excellent customer service. Weekend work after Thanksgiving and the Christmas period is required.

Qualifications

• Customer service or retail experience preferred
• Good communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds or with team assistance
• Availability to work the weekend after Thanksgiving and the days surrounding Christmas
• Part-time availability for two or more weekend days plus at least one weekday or night

Responsibilities

• Process customers' orders quickly, efficiently and accurately through the POS system
• Meet CBH Credit Card and email capture metrics as assigned by leaders
• Respond to customer questions professionally and respectfully
• Process payments as trained
• Inform customers about promotions, offers, loyalty programs and initiatives
• Wrap/bag orders and keep the cash wrap neat and stocked
• Support store leadership in profitability and operational excellence
• Stock and display products for customers to purchase
• Execute visual merchandising standards to engage customers and associates

A day in the life as a Seasonal Cashier…

• Drive sales through quickly, efficiently, and accurately processing customers' orders through the POS (point of sale) system.
• Responsible for meeting CBH Credit Card (CBHCC) and email capture metrics as assigned by leaders.
• Respond to customer questions in a professional and respectful manner.
• Process payments as outlined in the POS training.
• Communicate and have awareness of applicable promotions, offers, loyalty programs, and other initiatives to customers.
• Wrap and/or bag customers' orders with care; maintain a neat and safe cash wrap. Ensure cash wraps are fully stocked with supplies.
• Lead by example and support store leadership in holding self and others accountable for store profitability and operational excellence.
• Assist with ensuring products and displays on the sales floor are stocked appropriately and available for customers to purchase.
• Execute and maintain the visual merchandising standards of the sales floor to engage customers and associates with the product, as needed.

• Must be able to work the weekend after Thanksgiving AND the days surrounding Christmas
