Job summary

Crate and Barrel in Natick, MA is seeking a Seasonal Cashier to warmly welcome customers and process orders at the cash wrap with speed and accuracy.

You’ll assist customers with questions, promote promotions and loyalty programs, and help maintain a neat, welcoming checkout area. This role offers a fun, flexible holiday opportunity with an associate discount.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to move and lift up to 50 pounds with team assistance.
• Must be able to work the weekend after Thanksgiving and the days surrounding Christmas.
• Part-time availability: two or more weekend days and at least one weekday or night.

Responsibilities

• Process customers' orders quickly and accurately at the POS.
• Meet CBH Credit Card and email capture metrics as assigned by leaders.
• Respond to customer questions in a professional and respectful manner.
• Process payments as outlined in the POS training.
• Promote applicable promotions, offers, loyalty programs, and other initiatives to customers.
• Wrap and/or bag orders; keep cash wraps neat and stocked with supplies.
• Support store leadership in accountability for store profitability and operational excellence.
• Assist with restocking products and displays on the sales floor to be purchasable.
• Execute and maintain visual merchandising standards to engage customers and associates.

A day in the life as a Seasonal Cashier…

• Drive sales through quickly, efficiently, and accurately processing customers' orders through the POS (point of sale) system.
• Responsible for meeting CBH Credit Card (CBHCC) and email capture metrics as assigned by leaders.
• Respond to customer questions in a professional and respectful manner.
• Process payments as outlined in the POS training.
• Communicate and have awareness of applicable promotions, offers, loyalty programs, and other initiatives to customers.
• Wrap and/or bag customers' orders with care; maintain a neat and safe cash wrap. Ensure cash wraps are fully stocked with supplies.
• Lead by example and support store leadership in holding self and others accountable for store profitability and operational excellence.
• Assist with ensuring products and displays on the sales floor are stocked appropriately and available for customers to purchase.
• Execute and maintain the visual merchandising standards of the sales floor to engage customers and associates with the product, as needed.
