Job summary

Steve Madden in Camarillo, CA is seeking a part-time Cashier to deliver outstanding customer service, greet shoppers, and process transactions accurately at the POS.

You will maintain product knowledge, assist with store operations, merchandising, and inventory replenishment, with a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Pay ranges from $16-$19 per hour. This role emphasizes teamwork and reliability in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

Cashier (P/T)

The Cashier is responsible for listening and responding appropriately to customer needs, maintaining extensive product knowledge, and exhibiting professionalism at the POS.

Responsibilities

• Maintain outstanding customer service standards, possess solid product knowledge, greet and acknowledge every customer, and address any and all concerns by the customer at POS.
• Reinforce a rewarding customer experience.
• Complete all sales transactions accurately and efficiently, while maintaining all cash accountabilities at registers.
• Assist in various store operations, including floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, cleaning duties when necessary, and returning products to inventory as needed.
• Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise; participate in receiving and monitoring floor stock.
• Be flexible to occasionally perform work outside your specific role.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-2 years of retail experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to process information or merchandise through the computer system and POS register system.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.
