Compass Group USA, through Gourmet Dining & Chartwells Higher Education, is hiring immediately for seasonal COOK positions at Long Island University, Greenvale, NY 11548. Prior cooking experience preferred; hours vary with the seasonal schedule.

You will prepare food, follow recipes, ensure safe temperatures, maintain cleanliness, and assist with production and serving. This role offers $17.50–$22.50 per hour and opportunities for growth within a leading national foodservice company.

Responsabilités

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning and ensuring proper temperatures and attractive presentation.
• Maintains cleanliness and proper storage of food items and supplies.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assists in ordering and receiving of food and supplies as required.
• Follows HACCP standards and adheres to safety procedures.
