Job summary

Kampgrounds of America, Inc. in Sunbury, OH is seeking a Maintenance Associate to maintain campground buildings, facilities, equipment, and grounds during the 2027 season (April–November).

You will perform carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and general repairs, install fixtures, manage pool chemistry safely, and interact with guests in a friendly, service-oriented manner while prioritizing tasks and following safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of electrical equipment and installation.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing equipment and installation.
• Basic knowledge of chemical properties, handling and usage.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Valid Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and maintenance/repairs to campground facilities and grounds.
• Install fixtures, equipment, and appliances as needed.
• Ensure safety by following KOA and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain preventative maintenance by inspecting facilities, cabins, vehicles, and equipment.
• Inspect equipment to verify heating, cooling, electrical systems function.
• Troubleshoot failures and determine repairs or replacements.
• Operate pool safely and maintain pool chemistry.
• Provide friendly, service-oriented guest interactions.
• Prioritize tasks with planning and decision making.
• Work well in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
• Follow quality assurance manual to maintain property.
