Job summary

Galileo Learning, LLC is seeking an experienced Camp Director to lead our summer camps for K–8th graders. You will serve as site General Manager, delivering exceptional camper experiences, safety, and community engagement, while inspiring a seasonal team of educators and entry-level staff.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working directly with students in an education setting.
• Minimum 1 year of experience managing or supervising adult staff.
• Proven experience creating safe, inclusive environments for children and building trust with families.
• Proven ability to manage operational details like scheduling, staffing, and payroll.
• Strong written and verbal communication with families, partners, and supervisors.
• Willingness to travel regionally for up to 3 in-person events during preseason.

Responsibilities

• Lead camp launch and oversee preseason planning through end-of-summer wrap-up.
• Oversee daily camp operations and parent communication while ensuring program excellence.
• Train and mentor staff (7 to 40) and manage scheduling, payroll, and performance reviews.
• Use Galileo Innovation Approach (GIA) to foster curiosity, problem-solving, and innovation.
• Serve as primary community face of the camp and build partnerships with families and partners.
