Ketchikan Gateway Borough is seeking a maintenance worker to perform various tasks maintaining the Borough’s bus stops and facilities. The role involves operating basic maintenance tools, performing custodial tasks, and assisting with the transit facility’s upkeep.

The position requires physical stamina, willingness to work weekends or evenings, and the ability to work as part of a team while following safety rules and procedures. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Experience with power and non-power tools and basic plumbing or mechanics is desirable.
• Willingness to perform a variety of maintenance tasks and to work as part of a team.
• Knowledge of safety rules and procedures is important.
• Candidate should have physical stamina and endurance.

Mansioni

• Maintain Borough bus shelters and related facilities.
• Operate mowers, power washers, and basic maintenance equipment.
• Perform custodial duties: cleaning, trash removal, and restroom maintenance as needed.
• Assist with vehicle fleet cleaning and detailing; minor repairs where feasible.
• Work weekends and shifts as required by the Borough.
