Job summary

Mid-Pacific Institute is seeking a Head Coach for Boys Volleyball to develop student-athletes across middle and high school levels. The role includes creating practice schedules, recruiting and mentoring coaches, and overseeing the 4th–6th Grade CSAL season, in collaboration with the Athletic Department.

Beyond coaching the Varsity team, the Head Coach will supervise staff, evaluate athletes, ensure safety, and maintain compliance with ILH, IJF, and HHSAA rules throughout the season.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
• Preferred: Proven experience as a successful and motivating head coach with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop student-athletes through safe drills, skills and strategy; plan lessons.
• Motivate and support athletes with positive reinforcement.
• Provide off-season training opportunities to improve performance.
• Track attendance and communicate with students/parents about absences.
• Monitor athlete eligibility per league regulations.
• Maintain and secure equipment and uniforms; report unsafe items.
