Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Christmas Bell Ringer in the Port Angeles area. This temporary, non-exempt role involves standing outside at kettle locations, greeting donors, and collecting charitable contributions during the holiday season.

You will represent the organization with friendliness and professionalism, while following established procedures. The position requires working up to 22 hours per week, typically midweek through weekend, at various local sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• At least 6 months related experience preferred.
• Must be 17 years of age or older.
• Able to pass a background check.
• Good communication and friendly demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Monitor a kettle at an assigned location and ensure funds are secure.
• Greet the public and express appreciation to donors.
• Follow Salvation Army principles and policies.
• Work outdoors at various sites; tolerate weather.
• Engage donors with Christmas greetings and kind messages.
• Refer questions to the Corps or Divisional phone numbers.
• Relieve the previous volunteer promptly.
• Attend to shifts and communicate if absent.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
