Job summary

Ulta Beauty, Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Beauty Advisor to provide an exceptional guest experience by engaging guests, performing makeup applications, and guiding product selections.

The role includes cashier duties, stocking, cleanliness, and supporting leadership with events and store operations. The position emphasizes guest service, product knowledge, and teamwork, with flexible scheduling including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is preferred.
• 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred.
• Demonstrates a passion for guest service and competency for selling.
• Proficient with basic technology (e.g., Point of Sale system and Apple devices).
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Ability to troubleshoot.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, omni-channel sales, and retail shrink as set by Ulta Beauty for the store.
• Ensure that each guest receives exceptional service by providing a guest-friendly environment, greeting and engaging each guest, personalizing service to their needs, answering questions about products and services, informing guests about promotions and sales, and recommending complementary Ulta Beauty products and/or services.
• Courteously handle customer service, sales, refunds, and exchanges and assist with on-line orders.
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations with guests to drive sales and the guest service experience.
• Book appointments for and support the execution of services and in-store events that deliver an unrivaled guest experience while delivering on sales goals.
• Take the initiative to stay informed regarding new and existing products and services and be knowledgeable about ingredients and benefits to better serve guests.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
• Contribute to an inclusive environment that supports teammates and guests.
• Share the benefits of the guest loyalty program, including credit and Ulta Beauty app, with guests.
• Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business.
• Participate in ongoing training for professional development and sales performance.
• Be knowledgeable of Ulta Beauty policies and standards.
• Adhere to dress code and keep work area replenished, signed, and faced.
