Madison Resort Wildwood Crest is seeking a friendly Front Desk Agent to welcome guests, check them in, and coordinate with housekeeping for smooth stays. The seasonal role supports the Jersey Shore property with dining and entertainment offerings and a strong guest‑first approach.

You will handle reservations, provide local area information, process check-outs, and address guest concerns with professionalism and courtesy. The position emphasizes outstanding service and professional appearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to communicate with the public, hotel staff, and management in a professional manner.
• Knowledge of surrounding areas and local events.
• Ability to learn safety, emergency, and accident prevention policies and procedures.
• Skilled in the use of front office equipment.
• Knowledge of proper telephone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Know, understand, and adhere to company established policies and procedures.
• Ensures guest interactions are always positive. Smiles with every guest.
• Maintains an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.
• Possesses a working knowledge of the reservations department.
• Takes same day reservations and future reservations when necessary.
• Knows cancellation procedures.
• Completes daily checklist.
• Knows room locations, types of rooms available, and room rates.
• Registers arriving guests and assigns rooms.
• Coordinates room status updates with housekeeping and maintenance.
• Uses persuasive selling techniques to sell rooms and promote other services.
• Reports any unusual occurrences or requests to management.
• Manages and resolves all guest complaints professionally.
• Processes guest check-outs and handles monetary transactions.
• Maintains guests’ privacy.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
