Job summary

North Carolina Outward Bound School seeks an Associate Logistics Manager for Table Rock Basecamp, Jonas Ridge, NC. This seasonal, exempt position runs February 16, 2027 to October 31, 2027, with day-rate compensation and housing/meal perks.

You will support the Logistics Manager, assist in basecamp opening/closing, manage field equipment, and help train staff on safety and risk management across logistics duties.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Able to drive a 15-passenger van with a box trailer.
• Able to participate in all base activities.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Hold current Basic First Aid and CPR certifications at minimum (or ability to receive certifications prior to start date).
• Able to give and receive timely, effective oral and written feedback.

Responsibilities

• Assist Logistics Manager in supporting safe and quality logistical support of courses.
• Assume the responsibilities of the Logistics Manager in their absence.
• Assist the Program Director & Logistics Manager in basecamp opening and closing for the season.
• Support maintaining warehouse and food hut organization, operation, and cleanliness.
• Train logistics coordinators on risk management and safety practices.
