Job summary

Compass Group USA seeks a seasonal bartender at Brooklyn Botanic Garden, 990 Washington Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11225. Two years of bartending experience required; previous restaurant and catering background preferred.

Morning, weekend, and holiday availability is required; schedule may vary. You'll prepare and serve beverages, ensure liquor regulations are followed, stock and stock replenishment, greet guests, take orders, process payments, and maintain a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• Two years of bartending experience required.
• Previous restaurant and catering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves beverages in bar area in a friendly, courteous and timely manner.
• Adheres to liquor regulations pertaining to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Sets up bars and stocks beer, wine, spirits, and bar supplies.
• Maintains stock and freshness of garnishes and perishables.
• Greets guests and processes drink orders; uses standard recipes.
• Checks IDs and enforces liquor laws.
• Handles cash and payments accurately.
• Keeps/becomes familiar with health and safety standards; cleans work area.
