Job summary

Jay Peak in Jay, VT is seeking a seasonal bartender to provide timely, friendly service and prepare high-quality beverages. The role involves maintaining the bar area, serving guests at the restaurant and bar, and ensuring accurate cash handling.

Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 months of related experience; Vermont liquor certification is required or can be obtained. Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Valid Vermont liquor certification required or training provided.

Responsibilities

• Attend Liquor Control Board Seminar and gain certification to serve alcohol.
• Maintain knowledge of beer, wine and drinks with an extensive range of ingredients.
• Deliver a high level of guest service and maintain a safe environment.
• Keep bar area clean, stocked and organized; manage liquor, beer and wine inventory.
• Take orders via POS, process payments and handle cash accurately.
• Identify customers and verify legal age; assist guests with recommendations.
