Job summary

Encore Boston Harbor is seeking an Apprentice Bartender / Barback (Temporary/Seasonal) to support the bartender in beverage preparation and service at the on-site bar counters. The role requires a strong knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktail preparation, plus adherence to health and safety standards.

Applicants should be at least 21, able to obtain MA gaming licenses, and ideally have 3 years of bar experience.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older.
• Must obtain and maintain Massachusetts Gaming Commission license.
• Alcohol awareness card may be required.
• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 3 years working in a bar position preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist bartender with beverage preparation and service.
• Setup and breakdown of the bar before and after service.
• Prepare garnishes for beverages.
• Clean and maintain bar equipment and tools.
• Deliver beverage service to guests and maintain high standards.
