Job summary

Neiman Marcus seeks a Restaurant Bartender to warmly serve guests, share menu knowledge, and ensure smooth bar operations in a fast paced luxury setting, with experience in beer, wine and spirits.

You will work with a courteous team, handle POS transactions, maintain hygiene, and uphold the highest levels of customer service during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in serving food and beverage and following proper table service guidelines.

• Ability to interact graciously with the public and handle multiple duties at the same time.

• Role requires standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying 35 pounds.
• Associates must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Serves and interacts with customers in a professional and gracious manner.
• Utilizes thorough knowledge of food, including preparation and culinary terminology, to provide detailed information to customers about menu items.
• Supports smooth staff delivery of bar items through use of POS / ticket systems.
• Leverages thorough knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, including technical and service procedures.
• Participates in daily pre-shift meeting.
• Adheres to established accounting procedures for all transactions, including all authorized methods of payment and maintains knowledge of the POS system.
• Cleans and maintains restaurant and workstation including pre-shift, post-shift and daily and weekly duties as assigned by the Manager.
• Fulfills duties that may involve lifting objects (e.g., tables, chairs, highchairs, etc.).
• Maintains the highest level of hygiene standards to include, but not limited to: Clean, pressed uniform jacket and accompanying clothing and shoes, etc.

The Restaurant Bartender serves Neiman Marcus customers in a warm, accommodating, and professional manner consistent to the high standards set by Neiman Marcus.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

SALARY AND OTHER BENEFITS

The hourly rate for this position is between $ 17 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include market, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
