Job summary

Alterra Mountain Company at Arapahoe Basin is seeking a friendly Barista to join our Coffee Corner team. You will take orders, prepare beverages, and handle POS transactions, delivering consistent quality and a welcoming atmosphere for guests at altitude.

The role requires reliability, weekend availability, and the ability to work indoors most of the time while navigating high-altitude conditions. Prior barista experience is preferred, and a TIPS certification is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented with self-motivation and ability to multitask.
• Basic retail computer skills; familiarity with POS.
• Weekend and holiday availability.
• TIPS certification preferred.
• This position requires successful completion of a background check.

Responsibilities

• Take orders, prepare beverages, and handle POS transactions; ensure consistency and quality with all customer orders.
• Merchandise products around the POS area.
• Carry out opening and closing procedures; sign consent for over or short monies.
• Follow proper food and beverage handling and sanitation procedures every day; rotate product and inventory in accordance to established guidelines.
• Prepare and stock goods in accordance with inventory responsibilities; keep stocks at or above par levels.
• Follow all departmental sustainability guidelines.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
