Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Associate Merchant to support the Category Director and Merchants in all merchandising processes across channels. You will assist with assortment development, execution of merchandising strategy, and planning for Dollar Tree Stores.

The role requires strong communication, 1–3 years of buying experience, and proficiency with spreadsheets. Retail merchandising experience is a plus; the position is full-time at our Chesapeake office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1–3 years of related Merchandise/Buying experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and word processing.
• Detail oriented and highly organized.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Creativity and ability to build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Support Category Director and Category Merchants across merchandising processes for all channels.
• Assist with assortment development and execution of the merchandising strategy and plans.
• Contribute to development of category strategy, product development, and promotional materials.
• Prepare analysis and reporting to support vendor meetings and negotiations.
• Develop and approve plan-o-guides, display guides, and promotional planners for the respective Category.
