Job summary

The Sonnenalp Hotel in Vail, CO is seeking a Full-Time Seasonal Assistant Sommelier to join our award-winning Food & Beverage team for the 2026-2027 winter season. You will support the Sonnenalp Sommelier, assist wine guests, and contribute to exceptional wine service.

The ideal candidate has wine know-how, strong service skills, and is willing to work varied shifts. Preference given to candidates with a related degree and wine certification; familiarity with the Court of Master Sommeliers is a

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Degree in restaurant/hotel management preferred or related hospitality education.
• 2+ years in upscale food & beverage/service strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Sommelier with wine service and sales during peak periods.
• Attend to guests, educate staff on wine offerings, and maintain wine lists.
• Prepare mise-en-place, inventory, and order wine as needed.
• Collaborate with Swiss Chalet staff to ensure top-tier service.
