Job summary

The University of North Florida is seeking an individual to assist in the installation of exhibitions at the museum. Responsibilities include the installation and de-installation of exhibitions, preparation of artwork for exhibition, and maintaining workspaces.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of contemporary art and experience in exhibition setups, along with proficiency in painting and carpentry. Teamwork and effective communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in the hands-on installation and de-installation of complex exhibitions.
• Able to work as part of a team with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in physically demanding situations, including heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

• Installation and de-installation of exhibitions.
• Preparation of artwork for exhibition and/or shipment/storage.
• Maintenance of work spaces, tools and environment.
• Working in a team environment with curatorial department.

Skills

Knowledge of contemporary art

Hands-on installation and de-installation

Familiarity with presentation technology
