Job summary

Colville, Inc. seeks an experienced CDL driver to support our Solid Waste operations in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. This seasonal, full-time role requires operating commercial vehicles, performing pre/post-trip inspections, and adhering to DOT/FMCSA requirements in extreme Arctic conditions.

You will rotate shifts and stay at Brooks Camp during your assignment, with a focus on safety, reliability, and customer service while contributing to North Slope operations.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 2 years commercial Class A driving experience.
• Experience operating tractor trailers and other commercial vehicles.
• Solid waste, heavy equipment, or North Slope driving experience preferred.
• Current Medical Examiner's Certificate.
• Must meet applicable FMCSA driver qualification requirements.
• Ability to work in extreme Arctic weather.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial vehicles used for solid waste collection and transportation.
• Collect, transport, and deliver solid waste and materials to designated locations.
• Operate tractor trailer combinations and other assigned commercial vehicles.
• Safely maneuver vehicles in yards, customer locations, and changing conditions.
• Conduct thorough pre trip and post trip inspections.
• Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Secure loads and equipment per regulations.
• Maintain clean and orderly vehicles, equipment, and work areas.
• Complete required logs and reports accurately and on time.
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
• Follow DOT and FMCSA regulations.
• Work in extreme cold and changing Arctic conditions.
