Job summary

Sugarbush Resort is seeking an Apprentice Instructor for the Ski and Ride School to help deliver safe, engaging lessons to young guests this winter. You’ll learn from experienced instructors and contribute to a high‑quality guest experience on varied terrain.

Starting pay is $15/hour with increases after relevant certifications, with part-time shifts available. You must be at least 15, be a capable skier, enjoy working with children, and be willing to work holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old.
• Intermediate skier/snowboarder with good technique.
• Experience teaching or coaching and/or ski/snowboard instruction.
• Experience with children.
• Spanish language skills a plus.
• PSIA/AASI and USSA certifications encouraged.
• Available to work holidays and weekends.
• Must complete mandatory on-snow training.

Responsibilities

• Uphold safety on varied mountain terrain.
• Arrive on time and prepared for duties.
• Attend morning meetings.
• Supervise and assist children in class.
• Instruct levels per Instructor Guide progressions.
• Provide a safe, fun learning environment.
• Assist with loading children on chairlifts.
• Support in program operations and registration.
• Communicate lesson content and progress to guardians.
• Ensure children return to guardians.
