Job summary

Inland Deicing Services, LLC is seeking an Aircraft Deicer at the IDS PIT Airport location in Pittsburgh, PA. The role is part-time seasonal and on-call, with a pay rate of $18.00 per hour.

You will de-ice aircraft, inspect for ice and residual contamination, and operate deicing fluids to ensure safe departures. Required duties include maintaining safety, inspecting aircraft, planning for de-ice events, and completing logs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid US Driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or equivalent and intermediate computer skills preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English.
• Must be available to work at least 3 shifts minimum per week (Monday - Friday) and at least 2 weekend days per month.
• PIT is a Single Operator (SO) Station; additional training qualifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe environment during the de/anti-icing operation and ensure company policies are followed.
• Inspect aircraft for frozen contamination before and after deicing.
• Prepare for de/anti-ice events, inspect equipment and servicing gear.
• Ensure proper shutdown of pads and complete paperwork and log books.
• Maintain confidentiality of information and complete IDS training.
