Job summary

MoveUnitedSport is seeking a Seasonal Adaptive Snowsports Instructor in Idaho. The role includes one-on-one ski instruction for students with disabilities, with 35-40 hours weekly and a December–April season. Base pay ranges from $17 to $25 per hour based on experience.

The position requires participating in trainings, adapting to multiple disciplines, and safely delivering lessons with individualized goals for each student.

Qualifications

• Geographic Information: Primary responsibility in Ketchum Idaho, with moderate travel within Idaho.
• Weekend work is required – one day per weekend, five days per week to meet 35-40 hours.
• Ski/Snowboard experience required.
• Certifications and Licenses: PSIA or AASI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all mandatory adaptive snowsports trainings
• Assist with training other part-time adaptive instructors
• Learn and demonstrate competency in all offered adaptive disciplines
• Teach 2-track, 3-track & 4-track alpine skiing
• Provide Slider, Blind/Low vision guiding, Bi-ski and Mono-ski instruction
• Survey equipment status and inform supervisor of needs/maintenance
• Enforce safety rules, procedures and safety equipment use
• Perform initial student assessments and plan ski lessons
• Establish individualized goals and evaluate progress after each lesson
• Drive Higher Ground program vehicles as needed

Skills

Ski/Snowboard experience required

Prior coaching or teaching experience

Experience with disabilities

PSIA or AASI certifications preferred

Behavior Management Certification
