Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System seeks a qualified registered nurse to provide professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical setting, following the SMHCS practice model and ANA standards.

Placement is through the Nursing Staffing Services department. BSN is required within the specified timeframe; BLS/CPR and FL RN license are mandatory, with ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program.
• For new hires after 2012, BSN is required within specified timeframe as outlined in the New Hire BSN Agreement policy (126.045).
• Require basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
• Preferred: certification in nursing specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical care environment, guided by the SMHCS nursing professional practice model and in accordance with the ANA's Standards of Professional Practice.
