Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking qualified registered nurses for a 16-week contract in our acute care setting. Start dates include November 2026, December 2026, and January 4, 2027, with contract endings in March or April 2027, and a final start date of January 18, 2027 for a 14-week option ending April 25, 2027.

Requires FL RN licensure, BLS, and BSN within the required timeframe (or a nursing diploma with a time-bound BSN plan). Basic computer skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or nursing diploma program.
• For new hires after 2012, BSN required within specified timeframe per policy (126.045).
• Basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical care environment.
• Adhere to the SMHCS nursing professional practice model and the ANA Standards of Professional Practice.
