Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee is seeking an Academic Coordinator for Fitzsimonds in Milwaukee, WI to deliver academic support during non-school hours, coordinating with the day school and club programs, with a maximum of 6 hours per week.

This seasonal role runs roughly September through May, involving collaboration with school staff, data analysis, and professional development for staff and volunteers to improve student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Wisconsin Teaching Certificate required.
• Employed as a teacher or school support teacher in the district that the school is in.

Responsibilities

• Liaise between the day school and the Club to align curricula and share information.
• Identify and recruit students with academic need using data and criteria.
• Develop a CLC Program Plan for academic enrichment.
• Collect, analyze, and evaluate student data to assess progress.
• Attend SST, LT, BIT and other meetings as BGCGM representative.
• Communicate weekly with the classroom teacher on student progress.
• Review attendance and contact families when needed.
• Provide instructional materials and support staff/volunteers.
• Oversee assessments and surveys for students.
• Coordinate and monitor academics to support achievement.
• Facilitate professional development for staff/volunteers.
