Island Country Club on Marco Island, FL seeks a Seasonal Assistant Golf Professional or PGA Golf Management Intern to join our Golf Operations team for the upcoming season. The role begins in early November and runs through April, offering hands‑on experience in a high‑service private club environment.

You will gain exposure to golf shop operations, tournaments, member events, clinics, and instruction, while working with the professional staff and interacting with an active membership.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in the PGA Golf Management program or pursuing PGA membership.

Responsibilities

• Gains experience in Golf Genius tournament administration and operations.
• Assists with Men's and Women's leagues and member events.
• Supports daily golf shop operations and member services.
• Participates in merchandising, receiving, and inventory controls.
• Contributes to pace-of-play initiatives and club repair basics.
• Assists with clinics, instruction, and shadowing private lessons.
• Supports junior golf programming and member communications.

Island Country Club - Marco Island, Florida

Seasonal Position: November through the end of April

Island Country Club is seeking a motivated Seasonal Assistant Golf Professional or PGA Golf Management Intern to join our Golf Operations team for the upcoming season. The position is expected to begin in early November and run through the end of April.

Located on Marco Island in Southwest Florida, Island Country Club provides an excellent opportunity for an aspiring golf professional to gain meaningful, hands‑on experience in a high‑service private club environment. The successful candidate will be exposed to all areas of the golf operation while working closely with the professional staff and interacting with an active membership.

Essential Responsibilities

The Seasonal Assistant / PGM Intern will have the opportunity to gain experience in:

• Golf Genius tournament administration and tournament operations
• Men's and Women's golf leagues
• Member tournaments, member‑guests and major club events
• Daily golf shop operations
• Merchandising, receiving and inventory controls
• Tee sheet and member service
• Practice facility and outside operations
• Pace-of-play initiatives
• Club repair and basic club fitting
• Assisting with clinics and instructional programming
• Shadowing private golf lessons
• Junior golf programming
• Member communications and event preparation
