Cloverjet is a website design agency that partners with small businesses and individuals to help them make a larger impact by redesigning their websites and transforming their marketing strategies across a complete suite of digital solutions. We are seeking an SEO Specialist to join our growing team!

Your mission is to develop and manage SEO strategies that improve client search rankings, increase organic traffic, and support business growth. You will own strategy, implementation, and reporting—delivering measurable impact.

Expected Weekly Hours: 5-10 Hours

Starting Hourly Rate Offered: $40/hour

Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Timezone Recommendations: EST/CST, not limited to US candidates.

Role Type: 1099, Contractor, month-to-month

Focus: SEO strategy, content publishing, and reporting for client and internal projects

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute SEO strategies aligned with client goals
  • Perform keyword research, competitor analysis, and content recommendations
  • Publish and optimize blog posts using WordPress
  • Manage and update Google Business Profiles (GBP)
  • Monitor performance, audit sites, and identify optimization opportunities
  • Produce monthly reports with insights and next-step recommendations
  • Stay current on SEO trends, algorithm changes, and best practices
  • Use AI tools or SOPs to complete SEO fields (e.g., SEOPress meta titles/descriptions)
  • Nice to have: Implement on-page SEO updates (meta, headings, schema, internal linking)

Daily Tasks

  • Monitor active SEO campaigns and flag issues
  • Review data and track keyword movements
  • Assign content tasks or SEO items as needed
  • Publish or schedule content in WordPress and GBP with proper formatting and metadata

Weekly Tasks

  • Check rankings, traffic trends, and site health
  • Optimize pages based on findings
  • Attend team meetings with progress updates

Monthly Tasks

  • Run and deliver SEO reports with insights and recommendations
  • Complete technical audits for priority clients
  • Refine strategy based on client business changes or algorithm updates
  • Implement approved content tasks within websites and search strategies

Scope for Execution of Role:

  • On-Site SEO Setups as needed:
  • Keyword Research, 404 Error Checks, Page Titles & Meta Descriptions, H1 and Image Tags, Content Edits & Optimizations, Adding Structure Data, Internal Linking Structure
  • Audits: Monthly Technical Audit, Monthly Backlink Audit, Monthly monitoring and analysis of 3 Competitors
  • Reporting: Monthly Audit Report, Monthly Ranking Report, Google Analytics Report
  • Weekly work based on audit reports, daily check-in on SEO to ensure our methods are improving our client's SEO rankings
  • Execute on suggestions made after audits weekly
