Progressive Dental LLC is seeking an SEO Specialist contractor to support the team with content editing, geo-targeted landing pages, and on-page optimization across dental client sites. You will work on WordPress-based content, aligning with keyword strategy and SEO standards.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of hands-on SEO experience, strong writing and editing skills, and familiarity with local SEO and keyword research. This is a contracted, on-site role in Florida with variable workload.

• Strategic SEO Task Fulfillment: Assist with additional SEO initiatives monthly, such as new articles, geo-targeted pages, and updating content.

Job description

For this contracted role, the SEO Specialist will support our SEO team with the execution and fulfillment of ongoing SEO initiatives for dental clients. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on SEO experience who is comfortable working across content optimization, local SEO, on-page SEO, and WordPress.

The primary focus of this contracted role will be completing assigned SEO tasks accurately and efficiently while following established SEO strategies, processes, and quality standards. The contractor will work with the SEO team to support a high volume of client deliverables each month.

Scope of Work

Content Editing & Optimization

• Review and edit SEO/AEO-optimized articles prior to publication.
• Improve readability, grammar, structure, accuracy, and overall content quality.
• Ensure content aligns with the assigned keyword, search intent, and client services.
• Review headings, internal links, calls to action, and other on-page SEO elements.
• Identify content that requires additional revision before publication.
• Make updates within WordPress when required.
• Ensure content meets established SEO and brand standards.

Geo Page Creation & Optimization

• Research assigned cities, communities, and geographic markets.
• Create and/or edit unique copy for geo-targeted landing pages.
• Optimize pages for relevant services, geographic keywords, and search intent.
• Ensure content is unique and provides value beyond simply changing location names.
• Optimize titles, headings, metadata, internal links, and other on-page elements.
• Build, edit, or publish pages within WordPress when required.
• Follow established templates and SEO standards while maintaining unique content for each location.

Strategic SEO Task Fulfillment

Depending on their SEO program and individual goals, clients receive additional strategic SEO work each month. The contractor will assist with completing these assigned initiatives based on direction provided by the SEO team.

• Creating additional SEO articles.
• Creating additional geo-targeted pages.
• Rewriting or refreshing older website content.
• Updating service and treatment pages.
• Optimizing title tags and meta descriptions.
• Improving headings and on-page SEO elements.
• Implementing internal linking strategies.Making user experience and content improvements.
• Performing Google Business Profile optimizations.
• Updating existing pages based on keyword or competitive research.
• Supporting other on-page, local, content, or technical SEO initiatives.

Qualifications

The ideal contractor will have:

• 2–3 years of hands‑on SEO experience.
• Strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills.
• Working knowledge of on‑page SEO and local SEO.
• Experience conducting keyword and competitor research.
• Experience working within WordPress.
• Familiarity with title tags, meta descriptions, heading structure, internal linking, and content optimization.
• Understanding of Google Business Profile and local search optimization.
• Ability to follow established processes and SEO strategies.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality across a high volume of work.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet agreed‑upon deadlines.

Experience working with dental, healthcare, or other local service businesses is preferred but not required.

Contract Structure

This is an independent contractor position with work assigned based on current SEO department needs and contractor availability.

Compensation: $25–$35 per hour, depending on experience.

The contractor will be responsible for managing their own workflow and completing assigned deliverables within agreed‑upon timelines. Work volume may fluctuate based on client needs and department production requirements.

The contractor will collaborate with members of the SEO team but will primarily be responsible for the independent execution and completion of assigned SEO deliverables.
