Eaton’s IS AER FED division in Beltsville, MD, seeks a Seals Development Lab Technician on 1st shift. Core hours 7am-3pm, with possible overtime. Hourly rate $25.50. Responsibilities include setting up seal machines, developing tooling, training staff, and maintaining QAD-driven processes.

Strong attention to safety and 5S+ culture is expected. The role requires a high school diploma, manufacturing experience, and U.S. person status due to export controls.

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Seals Development Lab Technician - 1st shift to join our team in Beltsville, MD!

The core hours are 7 am - 3 pm, Monday - Friday. Overtime may exceed these hours at times.

The hourly rate for this position is $25.50 per hour.

What you’ll do:

The Seals Development Lab Tech sets-up and operates multiple seal machines. They produce and check quality of a finished parts.

In this role, you will:

• Complete all of Skill Level III Operator requirements.
• Develop processes and tooling for new & existing parts and provide recommendations for Engineering for modified tooling.
• Set up, program, troubleshooting, problem solving and operate of all cell machines.
• Expert on product and process knowledge for all parts produced in cell.
• Test new tooling and process & Analyze SPC charts.
• Train production employees & successfully complete required certifications.
• Maintenance request process in QAD.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow SOPs and meet all Safety requirements.
• Perform all 5S+ activities and keep immediate work area clean and free from hazards.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) from an accredited institution.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing

Skills:

• Basic Math, PC & Microsoft Excel Skill.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbally.
• Router & Inspection report/documentation comprehension and preparation.
• Nonconforming Material Comprehension and Nonconforming Material Form preparation.
• Basic Metrology Tools, Blueprint, SPC, & CMM knowledge.
• Understanding Preventative Maintenance Responsibilities, MFG Pro & QAD System.
• Resourceful and innovative rework ability to set up & operate respective cell equipment to coordinate the transfer of manufacturing process to the production floor through training production employees.
• Basic knowledge of all forming techniques to create and modifyrouter and process sheet for hand rolling & NC program for large and small Seals.

Physical Requirements:

• Occasional lifting of up to 25lbs (carts are available for usage) with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to sit and stand with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to use handles on manual machines and have manual dexterity.
