Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking a Manufacturing Operator in Newnan, GA to contribute to the manufacturing and repair of gas turbine engine components. You will work as part of a team performing tasks such as disassembly, blending, and inspection, while following safety rules and quality standards.

The role requires a HS Diploma or GED and 1–3 years of manufacturing experience, with ability to read blueprints. You may work extended hours to meet production needs and be eligible for benefits from day one.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, vibratory tumble, blending, peen, grit blast, encapsulate, masking/prep, vane install and operate CMM per work instructions and customer specs.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines and assist with routine labor as needed to support production flow.
• Prepare quality documents and verify the quality of own work using inspection tools per product specs and drawings.
• Follow plant safety rules and maintain high quality standards in all tasks.
• Adhere to 5S / CPEX policies and contribute to continuous improvement.

POSITION SUMMARY

Operator is responsible for performing general tasks as a part of a team to manufacture and repair gas turbine engine components.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs tasks such as disassembly, vibratory tumble, blending, peen, grit blast, encapsulate, masking/prep, vane install and operate CMM in accordance with work instructions and customer specifications.
• Performs all work in accordance with plant safety rules and maintains highest quality standards in the execution of all assigned work.
• Performs routine preventative maintenance on all machines and other routine labor work as required in accordance with production flow.
• Operator prepares necessary quality documents and confirms quality of own work using inspection tools in accordance with product specifications, drawings, and work instructions.
• Operator to adhere to all 5s / CPEX policies and to have a continuous improvement mindset.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

• Must have HS Diploma or GED.
• On the job experience of 1-3 years in manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to follow instructions, read and interpret blue prints.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position will require the employee to wear the following specific PPE that will be provided by the company: Steel toes shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses

This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions. We evaluate each candidate individually to ensure fair and competitive pay decisions.
