Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking a Production Operator for our manufacturing team in the United States. You will support disassembly, repair, assembly, and restoration of gas turbine engine components while upholding strict quality and safety standards. The role involves working with diverse tools and processes to return critical aerospace parts to service.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to use hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and shop equipment.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions and production documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the disassembly and reassembly of gas turbine engine components and assemblies.
  • Repair and fabricate engine parts and tooling using sanding, blasting, deburring, brazing, and other manufacturing processes.
  • Replace worn or damaged components using hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and gauges.
  • Inspect parts throughout the repair process to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve component and assembly discrepancies.
  • Verify tooling and measuring equipment are properly calibrated prior to use.
  • Complete production and quality documentation as required.
  • Support production projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company quality, safety, environmental, and ethical standards.

Job Summary

We’re looking for a Production Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you'll support the disassembly, repair, assembly, and restoration of gas turbine engine components while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and productivity. What You’ll Be Doing

What We’re Looking For


  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Mechanical aptitude and a strong attention to detail

  • Ability to use hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and shop equipment

  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality

  • Ability to work overtime as needed



Nice to Have


  • A&P (Airframe & Powerplant) License

  • Experience as a gas turbine engine mechanic, repair technician, or related manufacturing role

  • Aerospace, aviation, MRO, or precision manufacturing experience

  • Experience with brazing, blasting, deburring, or component repair processes

  • Familiarity with quality inspection tools and measurement techniques



Work Environment & Physical Requirements


  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, chemicals, and production equipment

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive hand movements throughout the shift

  • Ability to safely lift and move materials consistent with production requirements

  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

  • Ability to work overtime and flexible schedules as needed to support production demands



Must comply with all facility safety, quality, and environmental requirements.



This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.



The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions. We evaluate each candidate individually to ensure fair and competitive pay decisions.
