Whole Foods Market in New York’s seafood department is seeking an enthusiastic Team Member to help with counter service, stocking, and sanitation. You will contribute to a friendly store image and provide efficient customer service while following health and safety rules.

Responsibilities include maintaining displays, pricing, back stock, and assisting with sampling programs. Candidates should enjoy teamwork and be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Learn basic knowledge of all products carried in department.
• Visually examine products for quality and freshness.
• Read labels and familiarize oneself on various products.
• Strong to excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Ensures a fresh, appealing display by checking quality and stocking cases.
• Maintains accurate department signage and pricing.
• Maintains back stock and clean, safe work areas.
• Supports sampling program; keeps sample areas full and neat.
• Cleans cases, glass, signs, coolers, and floors as required.
• Skins, bones, and cooks or smokes fish; labels and dates cooked fish.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties with accurate pricing.
• Reports safety hazards and follows health and sanitation procedures.
