Wegmans in the United States is seeking team members for our Seafood department who will educate customers and ensure the freshest variety of fish and prepared seafood items are available throughout the day. If your passions are food and a fast-paced environment, this could be the role for you!

Provide incredible service, stock shelves, take orders, package products, and assist customers. May unload deliveries and stock backroom coolers and displays as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service in food service, grocery or retail setting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment: The physical demands of this work are classified as medium to heavy. Work includes walking, standing for up to 4 hours without a break, repetitive hand and arm movements, occasional heavy lifting, bending, and reaching, along with continuous interaction with customers and coworkers in a fast-paced environment. The average weight range of items lifted is 5 – 20 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 50 pounds rarely. Upper extremity repetition is moderate to moderately high and trunk movement involves moderate twisting, bending, and pivoting. May be exposed to various allergens (things that may cause an allergic reaction). The work environment is indoors with exposure to cold (33 – 55 degrees) temperatures and hot equipment (exceeds 135 degrees). Basic tools and equipment used include u-cart, hand/power jack, box cutter, knives, fryer, ice machine, and ice tables.; Collective customer service experience, internally and/or externally preferably in a food service, grocery or retail setting; Experience utilizing a variety of cooking techniques
