Job summary

Whole Foods Market seeks a team member in a fast-paced retail environment in Maryland. You will ensure fresh, appealing displays, maintain accurate signage and pricing, stock back room inventory, and uphold safety and sanitation standards.

You’ll assist with sampling, help customers, and support merchandising to maximize sales while following all quality guidelines. The role requires flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays, and involves lifting up to 50 pounds and working in cold

Responsibilities

• Ensures fresh, appealing display; checks quality; keeps cases clean; rotates and stocks.
• Maintains department signage and pricing; keeps back stock in order.
• Maintains safe, clean working and shopping environment.
• Assists with sampling program; keeps sample areas full and appealing.
• Cleans cases, glass, signs, uprights, coolers, floors, and drains as required.
• Skins, bones, cooks/smokes fish; labels, dates cooked fish.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.
• Arrives on time, well groomed and prepared; attends trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service; answers phones promptly and courteously.
• Maximizes sales through proper prep, storage, rotation, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follows procedures including Weights and Measures, health/sanitation, safe work practices.
• Maintains a clean, sanitary environment; equipment meets cleanliness and safety standards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures signs and pricing accuracy.
• Reports safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Performs other duties as assigned by store/regional/national leadership.
