Job summary

Lobster Place Seafood Hall in Chelsea Market seeks a friendly Seafood Market Counter Staff to greet guests and fulfill orders in a fast-paced environment.

You will handle customer orders, maintain product knowledge, and work with a team to ensure clean, organized service areas. The role includes a competitive hourly rate, tips, and benefits with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in a customer service and/or working with seafood.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, learn quickly and show initiative.
• Good time management and communication skills.
• Understanding of NYC health department codes.
• Willing to learn and retain knowledge from our Fish Cutters
• Willing to work nights and weekends

Responsibilities

• Taking and preparing customer orders including cleaning and portioning product
• Delivering excellent customer service to customers
• In-depth knowledge of all products in section
• Stocking and organizing packaging supplies as needed
• AM setup and PM breakdown of sections
• Maintains a clean and organized workstation
• Reads tickets and prepares customer orders.
• Presents and plates excellent food for service.
• Stores and keeps track of sushi inventory items.
• Cleans and sanitizes work area.
• Interacts with guests in a professional and welcoming manner.
• Communicates and collaborates effectively with all co-workers.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.
