Job summary

Lobster Place Seafood Hall in Chelsea Market is seeking a Lobster Cook for a fast-paced kitchen team. The role offers a competitive hourly rate, 401K with company match, paid time off, employee discounts, and a referral bonus for successful hires.

You’ll prep mise-en-place, manage lobster inventory, maintain quality, and provide excellent service while collaborating with teammates and servers in a high-volume setting.

• Presents excellent food for service.
• Interacts with guests in a professional and welcoming manner.
• Coordinates pick-ups with servers and cooks.
• Communicates with the lobster team during and after service.
• Cleans and sanitizes work area and maintains designated cooler space
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Working conditions

This job operates in a professional kitchen environment. This role routinely uses standard kitchen equipment including knives and appliances. Kitchen is small and efficient, and temperatures may be high. The workspace is on two levels and ability to use stairs is required.

Essential Functions of the Job

While performing the duties of this job, it is required to stand for several hours at a time; walk; sit. The employee must occasionally lift or move kitchen products and supplies, up to 40 pounds. Days and hours of work vary and are generally assigned as a 40 hour per week schedule. This position regularly requires evening and weekend work. This is a full-time (occasionally part-time), FLSA non-exempt hourly position in the Kitchen at Chelsea Market at 75 9 th Avenue.
