Job summary

Food City is seeking a detail-oriented Seafood Counter Associate to deliver friendly customer service and maintain attractive counters. You will greet customers, prepare displays, and ensure product rotation while following safety protocols.

Responsibilities include setting up the seafood counter, merchandising daily, pricing items, and keeping the work area neat. On-site attendance is required; great team dynamics and a positive attitude are valued.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to attend on-site work and adhere to attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous customer service in the seafood department.
• Set up seafood counter and merchandise daily.
• Ice down case and prepare all displays.
• Assist with pricing of seafood and maintain clean cases.
• Follow the company food safety program and sanitize work area.

Essential Job Functions:

• Ensure efficient and courteous customer service at all times in support of the company mission to “Run the Best Store in Town!”
• Maintain a positive attitude; create an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through flexibility and teamwork.
• Generate a positive, friendly, and fun working environment with a customer first initiative by greeting and speaking to customers, provide prompt, courteous, and efficient customer service.
• Set up seafood counter
• Ice down case and prepare all displays
• Merchandise seafood daily
• Assist in organizing cooler/freezer arrangement and rotation of product
• Prepare seafood salads and specialty items
• Assist with pricing of all seafood
• Maintain neat and clean appearance of all seafood cases
• Follow company food safety program
• Keep workstation and area around workstation neat and clean
• Department is to be sanitized and cleaned at least twice a day
• Responsible for attending on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies
