Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associates or bachelor’s in business or food service desirable.
• Minimum 2 years of management experience in a retail/restaurant/supermarket setting.
• Ability to manage seafood department staffing, scheduling, training and performance reviews.

Responsibilities

• Promotes excellent customer relations and resolves concerns in a polite, professional manner.
• Takes orders over the phone or in store and creates finished products in a timely fashion.
• Manages inventory levels, backroom organization, and shelf replenishment for product availability.
• Schedules Seafood associates and oversees training, performance reviews, and LMS usage.
• Develops localized merchandising plans and displays to drive sales; coordinates cross-department merchandising.
• Inspects deliveries and products for quality; handles stocking, dating and rotation.
• Controls department expenses and labor costs, reduces losses from damaged products, and maintains logs.
• Coordinates with other departments to meet financial objectives.
