Job summary

Eataly North America in Los Angeles is seeking a Fish Sales Associate to assist guests with fish selection, perform cutting and packaging, and ensure proper display and storage according to health standards. The role reports to the Fish/Meat Counter Manager and requires flexibility to work weekends.

Responsibilities include cutting fish, weighing and labeling, maintaining clean stations, and providing knowledge about preparation techniques. Compensation is hourly with benefits available.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience working with fresh fish.
• Good knife skills.
• Customer service and/or sales experience in a retail environment preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests with fish selection and share knowledge of preparation and cooking techniques.
• Cuts and cleans fish and shellfish, and cooks for salads.
• Weighs, packages and labels fish.
• Displays and stores food in the appropriate temperature conditions as per health standards.
• Stocks counter neatly, accurately and in a timely manner and informs management when quantities are low.
• Cleans work station thoroughly.
