Fred Meyer is seeking a Seafood Associate to prepare and display seafood items for sale in a sanitary, artful way while upholding company standards. The role involves serving customers and maintaining quality and cleanliness across displays.

You will monitor temperatures, rotate stock, assist customers, operate the register, and ensure adherence to health policies. Flexibility for weekends/holidays is required; growth opportunities exist within store operations.

Qualifications

• Effective written and oral communication skills engaging customers and associates.
• Ability to read shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, and bulletins.
• Ability to multi-task, set priorities, present information in a professional manner and work with all levels of the organization.
• Experience in grocery retail, customer service, and food preparation.

Responsibilities

• Wait on customers and provide good quality foods promptly and cheerfully.
• Communicate with customers and associates; be tactful, calm, and professional.
• Unload, store, and display merchandise per standards, recipes, and policies, and in compliance with Food Safety Policies and Health Department regulations.
• Perform required temperature monitoring and ensure product quality and safety.
• Keep sales areas, backrooms, and coolers clean and organized.
• Operate cash register in accordance with company procedures.
• Maintain signage and proper space allocation for merchandise, and keep equipment and facilities safe.
• Adhere to company policies and laws; maintain flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
