Seafood Clerk Position

Objective

To assist customers in their shopping experience by receiving, cutting, and serving seafood products in a friendly, courteous, and efficient manner.

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Seafood Manager.

Status

This is a non-exempt position.

Knowledge

Essential Knowledge

• A food handling permit must be obtained within the first 14 days of employment.
• Completion of ongoing training as listed on the Cosentino Learning Plan.

Non-Essential Knowledge

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Skills

Physical Abilities

Essential Abilities

• Reaching overhead up to 72 inches, twisting, lifting up to 30 lbs with both hands.
• Pushing and pulling items up to 20 lbs.

• Occasionally lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Bending, squatting, and working in cold environments.

Non-Essential Abilities

• Climbing a ladder up to 5 ft.
