Job summary

Wegmans in Bridgewater Township (NJ) is hiring for a Seafood team role focused on customer service and ensuring a fresh, varied seafood selection throughout the day. You will work with others to educate customers and maintain high standards for product quality in a fast-paced setting.

The position emphasizes helping shoppers, stocking shelves, taking orders, and assisting with deliveries and inventory while upholding Wegmans’ service standards and mission to support healthier lifestyles.

Collective customer service experience, internally and/or externally preferably in a food service, grocery or retail setting; Experience utilizing a variety of cooking techniques; Work Environment: The physical demands of this work are classified as medium to heavy. Work includes walking, standing for up to 4 hours without a break, repetitive hand and arm movements, occasional heavy lifting, bending, and reaching, along with continuous interaction with customers and coworkers in a fast-paced environment. The average weight range of items lifted is 5 – 20 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 50 pounds rarely. Upper extremity repetition is moderate to moderately high and trunk movement involves moderate twisting, bending, and pivoting. May be exposed to various allergens (things that may cause an allergic reaction). The work environment is indoors with exposure to cold (33 – 55 degrees) temperatures and hot equipment (exceeds 135 degrees). Basic tools and equipment used include u-cart, hand/power jack, box cutter, knives, fryer, ice machine, and ice tables.
