Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a Seafood Assistant at our Madison store to prepare and package seafood products, merchandise according to flight plans, and stock backroom inventories. You will coordinate with the Seafood Manager on orders and ensure compliance with safety and guest experience standards.

The role requires basic math, reading comprehension, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Prior retail experience preferred; high school diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce seafood products per production plan.
• Package and label seafood items according to plan.
• Merchandise seafood products per flight plan and merchandising standards.
• Stock backroom with seafood products, rotate and date cases.
• Notify Seafood Manager when products or supplies need ordering.
• Collaborate with other departments to support store growth.
• Follow PPE, safety and food safety guidelines.
• Support guest experience guidelines and store procedures.
