Job summary

SpartanNash is hiring for a meat department associate at our Grand Haven, MI location. You will independently prepare and package meat products, label according to plan, and merchandise items following flight plans.

You’ll stock backroom inventories, rotate products, and communicate needs to the Meat Manager while collaborating with other departments to drive store growth. The role requires attention to detail, basic math, and the ability to read and interpret documents.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• 1 year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce meat products according to plan.
• Package and label meat products per program plan.
• Merchandise meat products per flight plan/m merchandising expectations.
• Stock backroom with meat products; rotate and date cases and buckets.
• Notify Meat Manager when products or supplies need to be ordered.
• Coordinate with other departments to support store growth.
• Follow PPE, safety, and food-safety guidelines.
• Ensure guest experience guidelines are met.
• Other tasks as assigned.
